New! Toolkit
The updated Educational Aftercare & Reintegration Toolkit for Juvenile Justice Professionals provides new guidance about the rights of youth enrolling in public school, more information about charter schools, expanded guidance on school attendance and truancy issues, and more detailed information about the special education process. The Toolkit also provides additional material about alternative education programs for disruptive youth, and advice on how to ensure that youth returning from delinquency placements are not automatically sent to such programs by their school districts.- Educational Aftercare & Reintegration Toolkit for Juvenile Justice Professionals (September 2009) (This document may take a few minutes to download.)
