Planned Giving

Legacy gifts are one of the most meaningful investments in the Education Law Center-PA’s mission and ensure that we remain at the forefront of education advocacy for future generations. We are privileged to be included in your long-term financial and charitable planning. We encourage you to seek the advice of your financial advisor, an estate planning attorney, and/or CPA to discuss potential tax implications of any option you are considering.

  • Retirement Assets: Consider directing some or all of your IRAs, 401ks, 403bs, pensions, and other retirement plan assets to the Education Law Center-PA. To do so, you will need to complete and file a beneficiary designation form with your retirement plan manager or financial institution.

  • Wills, Bequests, and Trusts: You can include language in your will or trust specifying a gift to the Education Law Center-PA as part of your estate plan. Making a gift in your will or living trust, known as a bequest, can guarantee that our shared legacy endures. Your gift may be a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after all other provisions are specified. If you already have a will, you can include the Education Law Center-PA by making a codicil.

Here is suggested language to use when drafting your bequest: “I give to Education Law Center-PA, a non-profit, 501(c)(3) currently located at 1800 John F. Kennedy Blvd., Suite 1900A, Philadelphia, PA, 19103, or its successor thereto,_________ [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of property] for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose.”

  • Securities and Other Property: Donating gifts of securities, such as appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, can benefit your financial plan, while making an important impact for the Education Law Center-PA. These gifts can be made during your lifetime or structured to take effect upon your death by completing and filing a beneficiary designation form with your financial institution.

  • Life Insurance: Consider designating the Education Law Center-PA as a beneficiary on a new or existing life insurance policy. To do so, you will need to complete and file a beneficiary designation form with the life insurance company that issued the policy.

To include a gift in your will or trust, or to make a gift through a beneficiary designation, you will need to use our legal name and Tax ID number:
