Hillary Linardopoulos

Hillary Linardopoulos (she/her) is Policy Director at the Education Law Center, a nonprofit legal advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring all children in Pennsylvania have access to quality public education.  Hillary is a longtime educator and advocate, with issues of equity driving her work. Hillary taught at Julia de Burgos Elementary School in the West Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia for 9 years, and she often wrote and spoke outside of the classroom about the urgency of investing in public education.

Her advocacy continued at the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers for over a decade, where Hillary served as Communications Director and Legislative Representative. At the PFT, Hillary led the political program and communications work that prioritized coalition building, justice-minded advocacy, and winning electoral and legislative campaigns that make a difference in the lives of young people. This work included establishing and leading the Fund Our Facilities Coalition, composed of more than 70 elected officials from all levels of government, community groups, and labor unions, which in 2023 helped secure $125M in dedicated state funding to improve school facilities.

Hillary earned her Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania and her ESOL certification from Drexel University. She has written numerous op-ed pieces for the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Huffington Post.
