Rebecca Preuss

Staff Attorney


Rebecca Preuss (she/her) joined the Philadelphia office of Education Law Center as a Staff Attorney in April 2022.  She focuses on direct representation of clients and overseeing our Helpline and also supports ELC’s impact litigation, working with community partners, and informing our policy advocacy across all of ELC’s issue areas. Previously, Rebecca worked as a Staff Attorney at South Jersey Legal Services for seven years, where she provided legal advice and representation to low-income individuals in Southern New Jersey across a variety of civil matters, including but not limited to: landlord/tenant, subsidized housing, and public benefits. Prior to that, Rebecca worked as a legal fellow at Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts, where she engaged in public advocacy and education regarding issues of judicial selection reform and systemic court reform and improvements in the state of Pennsylvania. Rebecca is a graduate of Penn State University and Drexel University Kline School of Law, where she participated in a variety of legal clinics, internships, and pro bono activities, including with Philadelphia Legal Assistance, The Homeless Advocacy Project, The Pennsylvania Innocence Project, and the Fair Housing Rights Center of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
